10 Reasons Why You Should Use Firefox 3

I think many of you know very well that I’m a big fan of Firefox. Since the rumour of Firefox 3 being developed, I followed every version that was released.

 

 

And YES! The final version of Firefox 3 was released on the 18th of June - last Wednesday, and a world record was established for the highest number of download in 24 hours. There were a total of 8 millions download on that day, which calculates about 6000 downloads per minute!

 

Let me go straight to the point: 10 reasons why you should use Firefox 3 instead of IE

 

1) Better security - Firefox 3 has a strict anti-malware and anti-phishing measures. Firefox 3.0 also integrates with anti-virus applications and will notify AV software when downloading .exe files

 

2) Higher Customizable – Firefox 3 allows installation of plug-ins, add-ons or applications that are only needed by the web-surfer, so YOU DON’T HAVE TO LOAD THINGS THAT YOU DON’T USE.

5) New Magic Bar – You really must try this for yourself. For a heavy web-surfer like me, searching the page I’ve visited has never been easier. Just type a part of the link in the address bar and you can search it up easily. I can’t explain this well, but it’s just awesome. YOU HAVE TO TRY TO BELIEVE IT.

7) Uses the least RAM -  I know most standard computers have more than enough RAM to run their computer smoothly, but it’s always a thumbs up for using lesser RAM!

 

8) Tagging and key-wording feature – this is a very useful feature for those who have tonnes of bookmarks, but since the introduction of the Magic Bar, I think this feature is a little redundant for me, since I have manageable numbers of bookmarks.

 

9) Super-smart download manager – Gone were the days when you need another download manager like DAP to manage your downloads. Firefox 3 allows you to pause your download and resume later on when you have a better connection.
