YHT and LFC

"They are friends of mine".

Well, I consider that as an understatement. They aren't merely my friends, they are someone very special to me, both of whom I met long time ago. We never knew that our friendship could prolong so many clashes of opinion and divergence of path, anyway, who are we to know?

LFC is a person who is "authentic" from the inside out. I met him when I was 7? or 8? Even my memory fails me, justifying the long friendship we treasured all these while. I can still remember sitting at the back of the children church, with him and our sisters, remained silent and low-profile most of the time. THAT is when I know him. We started talking and doing lots of things together, including waiting for our parents after children church, *drinking Ribena from the kitchen (which is not allowed I supposed), and swapping our coupons for some kid's stuffs. We didn't really talk much when we were young, but his presence (or rather, his companionship in the church) was more than enough for me because I was feeling very lonely, being handicapped in English speaking skills. Since then, we have acknowledged each other's trustworthiness and faithfulness, and we grew closer to God too, upholding and encouraging each other.

It is not until age 14 that we know each other better. This is because we are placed in the same school and in the same class! We sat next to each other until age 17.. (man.. I can't believe that) mainly because we love to talk, chatting through most of the classes. I now wonder what we talked about, because I forgot about the topics that we usually chat, but it's definitely void of substance most of the time. HAHA..

After SPM, he went to Taylor's College, and then Intec. That's when our route diverged. Albeit having frequent correspondence through emails and chats, but I still missed him dearly. All I hope is that our friendship will last forever, because I can never find another LFC that is like him, authentic, true, and pure.

YHT, a person whom I almost sworn not going to be a friend with! I knew of this person when I was 13 when he sat next to me in the class (not directly next to him, but divided by the aisle). Well, I was so naiive to not tell him off to stop using foul words (imagine inserting foul words in between each word in a sentence - exaggeration), instead I went to the teacher and asked for a change of place so that I can be away from him. And at one stage, we even quarrelled, swearing not to bother one another. XD

The cold war went on for quite awhile before we even knew each other. I can't remember how we got into terms and somehow he stopped using foul words, at least in front of me. Then somehow, we became good friends. We were in most of the activities together, Chinese Society, Scout, and later Prefect Board. We organise camps and activities together with other committee members and we really enjoyed spending time with all our mates. As time pass, like the idiom said, 天下无不散之席, he went to Taylor's College but I went to Inti College (where I met a bunch of new family too). I disappointed him because I 放飞机, saying that I will go to Taylor's College.. XD

However, because we both love to play DOTA, we always meet up and go to cyber cafes for a game or two. He is a PRO, no doubt. But I sometimes feel bad for him because he always tries to prune my skills even though I am a 'noob' who can't be polished no matter what training is given (no talent in short). Worse still, I always put him on the verge of losing a game!! (You know la.. some players in Subang are very PRO, how I wish I can have Jovie's talent. XD

From a petty town called Seremban, I am now in Australia, and he will be going to UK soon. Half a globe away, I hope our friendship remains intact. He is very busy with his work lately, but I guess he never forgets DOTA sessions at night. So I hope I can still listen to him cracking crazy jokes out of a sudden someday.

All in all, YHT and LFC, I wish you guys all the best in your studies. You guys really left a legacy in me, of which I can never forget and replace. My memories with you are indispensable.

*I notice I am always writing about my friends. This is because I miss them dearly. But what I miss most is my beloved family! XD.. I'd better stop writing about missing this and that. Get a grip on my own life!!!

p/s : Since we are all studying engineering, lets come together and start an engineering consulting firm! We need engineers from all trades.. and we can have the best of both worlds, having studying at different places. Anyone else wants to join? I take Chee Hang from Japan, YY from Australia, and who else? Still got 5 places to be filled. :) ...  发梦啦！！ dish..
